The research development is based on the prediction of acid drainage caused by a mining waste. In the case, the Chupa clearing from the Iscaycruz Mining Unit for closure, this was carried out with the characterization of the clearing, which was carried out as a first step its mineralogical study, and its geochemical study, such as the granulometric analysis of the sample, which led to an X-ray diffraction analysis to determine representatively its components of the rocks of the clearing. Then the ABA test was carried out, which consisted in qualitatively determining if this dismantling would generate acid drainage, carrying out the acidity potential, neutralization potential to finally define its acid drainage generation, determinations of the test of the net acidity potential , the paste pH, and thus take it to the Humidity column test for a period of 20 weeks those that were under a controlled simulation control in the laboratory. Important analyzes to decide how the components of the closure would be used for the restoration of the land shells characterizing the clay and soil as the plants that would be used in the revegetation those that would not harm the environment, the research development proposes a sustainable development with a landscape beauty acceptable to health and ecosystems of direct and indirect influence.
