This research work aims to be a contribution to the prevention of vital lines of electrification in front of disasters of seismic origin. In this thesis the evaluation of the seismic vulnerability of the aerial electrical distribution substations is shown, which is visualized in thematic maps elaborated in a GIS Platform, this evaluation is based on the development of a probabilistic analytical methodology called Fragility Curves. The generation of Fragility Curves occurs considering the variability in the seismic parameters and structural parameters, forming an important quantity of structural models which are subjected to their respective synthetic accelerograms, for their nonlinear dynamic analysis (Time – History analysis). Resulting in the maximum displacements at the top of each structural model for each defined seismic intensity. The simulation through the Montecarlo simulation tool and the delimitation of damage states makes it possible to establish functions that represent the vulnerability of the aerial distribution electrical substations, in contrast to different levels of seismic movement intensity. The application of the GIS Platform was carried out in the Imperial Village Center – District of Imperial – Province of Cañete – Department of Lima. The evaluation chart was made for the 27 aerial distribution electrical substations found. The structure model is constituted by elements of reinforced concrete, likewise the tension of the cables was not considered. 2000 samples of synthetic accelerograms were made for each type of ground found. The results obtained in the thematic maps, express that the fragility curves sensibly represent the seismic vulnerability of the aerial electrical distribution substations of the Imperial Settlement Center. As an example, we indicate that seismic intensities lower than 0.05g, with “g“ being gravity, there will be no probability of damage and from 0.40g to more, there would be a probability of collapse of the structure.
