In order to understand the end of the thesis work, it is necessary to know what is the basic tool on which all this research is based. The basic tool is project management. Specifically, in the work, the development of a risk management system is dealt with in depth, which is an area of knowledge in project management. Risk is defined as an activity that is not known if it can happen or not and if it manifests it can have certain consequences, that is, it has an effect on the projects. In the first place, for the risk management system, 6 processes were proposed, which are basically the means by which the actions that a successful risk management will bring to the project of a dust collection system for a mining company can be integrated. In the first place, it was planned how the risk management was carried out, that is to say how it was proceeded, for this a series of tables was proposed that allowed to have an order by processes and relate that other factors must be taken into account when time to plan. Basically the use of tables that occurred in the present work and in all processes, serves to be able to structure and have a simple and orderly strategy. Once it was known how to carry out risk management, it went on to identify the risks themselves, that is to say, it was recognized which are all those events that will negatively affect the project. Then comes the part of both qualitative and quantitative analysis in which a study was conducted on how likely it is that these risks can occur and that they can affect both time and cost, how long will the project be delayed if takes into account these risks and how much more the project will cost. The qualitative analysis was carried out through simple arithmetic calculations to give a first glimpse of how these risks will affect the project. The quantitative analysis was carried out with the help of two softwares, the Primavera Risk Analysis and the Riskyproject, softwares that made known through the Montecarlo simulation how much the contingency reserve will have to be in days and dollars. Once the analyzes were carried out, a risk response plan was prepared, prioritizing and giving an immediate response plan to those risks that have a high severity on the project and implementing a series of steps that serve to reduce the effect what do they have? After the response plan and the series of activities on how the risks were dealt with were already obtained, the continuous monitoring of all the uncertain events that may arise was always taken into account, avoiding the generation of secondary risks that may affect the execution of the project, all this in order to be able to complete the project successfully.
