The New City of Olmos is a project located in the district of Olmos, the province and the department of Lambayeque, this project aims to create a planned and self-sustainable city that implements the current modes of urbanism, to be replicated systematically in the new processes Urbanization in the country The project in its entirety has the foundations of recent quaternary wind deposits, characteristic of the area, consisting mainly of poorly graded sands. As part of the geotechnical investigations, tests of surface wave measurement in multichannel array (MASW) and standard penetration tests (SPT) were carried out, in order to obtain the cutting wave velocities (Vs) and the number of strokes of the SPT (N) respectively. The MASW and SPT tests that are located very close to each other, were collected and 156 values of N and Vs were collected to obtain a correlation equation of the form, V_S = A N^B, where A and B are obtained from methodologies statistics of linear regression analysis. The correlations used in this thesis are: N - Vs (N and Vs obtained directly from the field, without correction); N_60 – Vs (N corrected to 60% SPT energy); and N_60 – Vs considering the influence of effective overload. The correlations obtained in this thesis were compared with the correlations published in the last 20 years by different authors, in the case of sands. The correlation equation of N - Vs (without correction) is V_S = 142.59 N^0.222, and it presents a certain variation with the correlation curves of the different authors, probably due to the variability of the equipment and procedures of the SPT test. The proposed correlation generously approximates the curves of Esfehanizadeh et al. (2015) and Kirar et al. (2016). V_S = 141.14 N^0.212 is the correlation equation when N corrects to 60% energy, and approximates quite well the curve proposed by Pitilakis et al. (1999). The correlation curves proposed by different authors tend to be very close to each other, probably because the value of N is corrected to 60% of energy, regardless of the procedure and the type of SPT equipment. Applying the technique of multiple linear regression analysis, the correlation equation of N_60 - Vs was determined, incorporating the influence of effective overload. The obtained equation, V_S = 168.35 〖〖(N〗_60)〗^0.163, approaches the curve proposed by Bellana (2009). The validation of the model was performed using the data dispersion graph and the global significance test, where it is concluded that there is a linearity relationship between the variable Vs and any of the return variables N_60 y P_a/〖σ'〗_V. Likewise, it was verified that the return variables do not present multicollinearity problems, that is, they do not have a linearity relation. The residuals were analyzed by means of the quantile - quantile graph (Q - Q) and it is verified that they present a normal distribution.
