At the beginning of this investigation in 2014 there were 17 public universities and 5 private universities with mining engineering schools (see Annex No. 9), this meant the increase of supply in relation to demand which forced us to take the road to improve the quality in the training of our future mining engineers as key decisions to achieve the insertion of our graduates in the mining business sector. For which the main factors that influence to improve the quality of our school were identified, for this we can verify facts in the field, analyze statistics of our school, and carry out a survey of students, teachers and graduates of our school and a workshop with some managers of the mining companies of the La Libertad region and we compare these factors with leading universities in the training of mining engineers from Peru, South America and the World. From the verification and analysis, 7 main factors that needed to be implemented to improve the quality of our school were identified: first: "Infrastructure: completion of finishes (for classrooms, laboratories, auditorium, offices and library)"; second. "Laboratories: there are no laboratories implemented"; third: "Curricular mesh: update", fourth: "Formal relationship with mining companies in the Liberty region, institutes and other universities of Peru"; fifth: "Talents: attracting the best talent from schools in the region of La Libertad"; sixth: "Administrative Unit of the Mining and Metallurgical Department" Seventh: "Investment: to implement the completion of infrastructure finishes, implementation of laboratories, implementation". Understanding how difficult it is in our university to achieve the execution and implementation, and after the analysis together with the team (group of teachers, students and graduates) to implement the 7 identified factors, a 2014-2020 leadership contract was developed in which Management strategies are established to achieve our objectives. For management strategies, the philosophy was leadership by example as a basis to achieve the credibility and trust of the high authorities, teachers and students of our school, secondly to involve all those involved in order to achieve commitment and the concept of work in team and third the theory of control to achieve the support of the top management of our university and mining companies The results obtained to date are: First: the infrastructure available was finished (classrooms and laboratories, offices, auditorium, library); Second: 4 laboratories were implemented: mining software laboratory, geology laboratory, rock mechanics laboratory and English language self-learning laboratory. Third: The new 2018 curriculum was approved in the university council. Fourth: formal relationship was established with the company Minas Poderosa SA, INGEMMET, MAPTEK, Minas Gerais University Brazil; Fifth: The incoming relation / postulants rose to 9.7 in the 2018 admission exam, capturing talent from the La Libertad Region. Sixth: The creation and implementation of the Mining Engineering Department was approved; and finally seventh: It was possible to cover the necessary investment to achieve objective one and two of our strategic plan. For the library, 60 specialty books in English were acquired and a greater number of vacancies in student mobility was achieved with the PUCP. The results demonstrate and contrast what we propose in our hypothesis, that the management strategies contained in our leadership contract are improving the quality of our school.
