The inevitable increase in traffic volume and the growth of mobile broadband subscribers mean that mobile operators are forced to use new technologies that allow users to enjoy a differentiated experience. Then, some operating companies start betting on models that help them predict the capacity in access to their network. The present work proposes a mathematical model that helps to estimate the capacity in access to the mobile network of an operator, using Massive MIMO technology and the scheduling strategy Proportional Fair. Massive MIMO is a MIMO MU technology, where a base station is equipped with tens to hundreds of antennas, and communicates with many users simultaneously through multiplexing or spatial diversity. Proportional Fair is a scheduling strategy that allows achieving a throughput equity for all User Equipment and maximizing system performance. In addition, the thesis will show the validation of a MIMO model when compared with real operator data, using the parameters: percentage of resource utilization and cell throughput.
