In thls research, three extracts were obtalned by methods of maceratlon, Soxhlet and magnetlc stirring; using ethanol as solvent in a ratio of weight and volume of 1:10 (w / v), in order to obtaln the active principles present in the leaves of Annona muricata L, commonly known as Soursop. The three extracts were evaluated by electrochemlcal test to estlmate the corroslon rate, and compare the corroslon inhibiting effect of SAE 1008 steel exposed in HCl 1M wlth additions of the inhibitor extract. The three obtalned ethanollc extracts were characterlzed by physicochemical analysls (determination of denslty) and phytochemlcal analysls (phytochemlcal march). To determine the inhibiting properties of the corroslon of the three ethanollc extracts, were used speclmens of SAE 1008 steel, whlch were subjected to succeslve roughlng from N°80 to N°1000 sandpaper, to be submerged in HCl 1M at room temperature in absence and presence of the extracts, and by means of electrochemlcal technlques the corroslon rate of the steel was estlmated, as well as the efficiency of inhibition of the corroslon of the extracts. The electrochemlcal tests used to evaluate the corroslon rate were: linear polarization reslstance (RPL) in a range of ± 20 mV, potentiodynamic polarization (Tafel slopes) in a range of ± 250 mV and electrochemlcal impedance spectroscopy (EIE) in a frequency range of 10E05 at 0.1 Hz, these test were reallzed in absence and presence of the inhibitor extract, and in a range of concentratlon 0 to 5% v/v. The morphologlcal evaluatlon of the corroslon inhibiting effect of the three ethanollc extracts on the surface of the steel speclmen after belng exposed in 1M HCl, was carried out using scannlng electron mlcroscopy (SEM) at 1000X. For thls, samples of steel in acld were exposed, wlth the addition of a concentratlon of 0.5% v / v of each ethanollc extract at room temperature, and the corroslon inhibition was evldenced in the obtalned images. From the results obtained in the electrochemical evaluations, the three ethanolic extracts of leaves of Annona muricata L. showed efficiencies of inhibition greater than 90% and was the extract obtalned by Soxhlet that had the greater efficlent in comparison wlth the other two methods studled. It was also shown that the inhibitory extracts are of the mlxed type, because anodlc and cathodlc polarization occurs. Based on these results, the scaling of a plant at pilot level and its respective economic evaluation was also realized, for the production of 20 L per batch, of ethanolic extract obtained by Soxhlet extraction.
