The aim of this study was analyze the risk factors that would cause symptoms related to musculoskeletal disorders to the activity of filling big bags of lead/bismuth and molybdenum powder in a polymetallic mining complex located at 4300m.s. through ergonomic intervention under a francophone perspective that studies work conditions in the workplace. Data collection techniques were used: interviewing workers and supervisor, taking surveys, verbalizations with workers, shooting photos and recording videos. The key questions and the rapid evaluation of ISO 12295-2014 were applied to identify the biomechanical risk factors present in the bagging activity. The relevant biomechanical risk factor identified was the manual handling of the load and the assessment of the level of risk was made by applying the Variable Survey Index (VLI), which is significant in all cases. The estimation of the weighted metabolic rate in time for the bagging activity was made through the application of ISO 8996: 2004 and it was high. The priority determinant of the appearance of the risk factors is the manipulated load. The results indicated that the transformation of the work will be achieved by acting on the determinants of the risk factors. It is concluded that the risk factors of the bagging activity of lead / bismuth and molybdenum concentrate in a concentrator plant could have a high risk of develop symptoms related to musculoskeletal disorders in Packing operators.
