Currently Peru is expenencmg the reactivation of the mmmg sector and this is confirmed by the larger amounts of investment in mining exploration projects. To manufacture low cost exploration machines according to the client's requirements (a sector of medium and small mining, contractors) is a need not covered by the three companies that import and distribute this type of standardized machines. Responding to this challenge, a group of Peruvian businessmen have begun to develop, manufacture and market customized equipment with low cost of acquisition and do so by designing their machines to suit the client. The present work has as objective the design of the hydraulic system of a mining exploration machine that fulfills the function of cutting and extracting samples that have a capacity of 30 meters / day, the cost should not exceed USD 100,000. The design was made using the VDI 2221 methodology which is a generalized morphological method taking into account the customer’s requirements and technical specifications until the final solution concept was reached, the calculations and selection were made and finally the cost analysis determined a lower value which the client can pay and therefore the project is economically attractive and viable.
