In mining the fulfillment of the goals is of great importance and this leads us to the reflection that we are so predicting our indicators for the calculation of production, the copper production commitment depends on many factors among which are the production of the mining trucks towards this our research aims to analyze and adjust the calculation of our indicators and identify which are the factors that most modify our calculation. The production of copper that is forecast at the beginning of each year and commits to a sale as a raw material, if this is not met delays the production of final goods which are also already committed to sales. Trying to direct an operation without forecasts is equivalent to navigating a boat without a compass. Predicting is an input for all types of business planning and control, inside and outside the operations function. All areas use forecasts to plan products, promotion and prices. Finance uses them for financial planning. Operations use them to make decisions about the design of the process, planning of production capacity and inventories. It is said that a poor prognosis is better than none. Many companies argue that in uncertain and changing environments it is not justified to develop an effort, nor to dedicate resources to something that is not known in what it can contribute to management. However, this idea causes that an appropriate start of operations management is lost. Likewise, forecasts are always thought in the field of demand.
