This paper shows the implementation and use of the technique of characterization of materials ranging from organic to inorganic using its reflectance in the near infrared range, monitored with a hyperspectral camera in a motion system, with speed controlled by computer. The work includes calibration of a hyperspectral camera, the implementation of a mechanical system that allows the recording of hyperspectral imaging and their application to the study of fresh vegetation, the maturation process of a peach and analysis of the components of a materials mix. Some first applications of the use of this system are shown. First, infrared images of fresh and dried leaves and flowers are shown. Also of fresh fruits and decomposed fruits as well as images of earth with and without oil. These examples are shown in order to initiate future research topics in different areas ranging from agriculture, study of inorganic materials as well as environmental pollution. The results obtained show a promising field of research that will open new lines of research.
