The current study assesses the economy downturn of the environmental impact on the textile industry `La Merced S.A.´ by means of using the Cleaner Production, thereby reducing the consumption of inputs and water resources. In this study has been analyzed two types of options for this reduction: decrease in consumption of chemicals and auxiliaries in the dyeing machine JET and decrease of water use, acid and dispersant by use of bath in the dyeing. This study was carried out using the Cleaner Production Standards in order to identify the exact locations where the contamination occurred and the greater use of chemical supplies. During the study were made different technical visits to recognize the plant, machinery, equipment, analysis into administrative and operational processes. Information was researched about the dyeing process, feedstock and resources consumption, subsequently perform the technical evaluation. Residual water samples were taken at the time of machine deactivation. Economic analysis shows that the implementation of these Cleaner Production projects emit an economic benefit of USD 9883, 83 with a conversion of USD 1785, 00 during a time of investment recovery of seven and a half months .Among the environmental benefits are manifested the reduction of the contamination and water consumption in a 66, 7 %.
