The research presents criteria for evaluating reports of identification of contaminated sites, in order to identify soils with potential contamination and contaminated soils. The research methodology is qualitative, taking as a unit of analysis the identification reports of contaminated sites of the mining units in the process of production of copper and molybdenum in Peru. The application of the criteria serves to identify areas of potential interest with potential contamination of contaminated soils and soils in the identification phase applying the environmental quality standard for soil. The results show that the Cerro Verde and Cuajone mining units are being evaluated in their characterization phase and preparation of Soil Decontamination Plan for presenting soil (PDF) contamination in the following parameters: lead arsenic, cadmium, medium hydrocarbon fraction (F2) and hydrocarbons heavy fraction (F3). Likewise, the repeated observations in the evaluation were in the following criteria: preliminary evaluation, documentary information of the site, potential sources of contamination, potential foci, identification sampling plan, identification sampling results and annexes related to the proposed network Soil monitoring in areas with potential contamination. Concluded that the criteria allow applying the environmental quality standard for soil in ongoing mining units.
