The lagoon El Sauce is located in the San Martín Region, 51 kilometers south of the city of Tarapoto, framed by ranching, farming, tourism, fish and population activities, which year after year are accelerating and altering their environment and leading aging to accelerated eutrophication, for which the current level of eútrophication or trophic level of the lagoon El Sauce, where two samples, one in dry season and another in the rainy season, in order to make an assessment performed was evaluated trophic level more objective. The key variables that were considered to determine the trophic level of the lake were El Sauce total phosphorus, nitrogen as nitrate, transparency and chlorophyll “a“. The main objective of the research was to assess the leve! of eutrophication of the lagoon El Sauce - Tarapoto, in November 2015; and propase a mitigation plan to remedy the damage ca u sed to the lagoon.
