Currently, INFES schools’ modules are built considering structural confined masonry in the transverse direction, while in the longitudinal direction, the structural design considers a structural frame system. The following research studies INFES’ modules when using a structural system of reinforced concrete walls in the transverse direction, and evaluates the advantages in the structural design and constructability at the same time. The seismic analyzes were made according to the E.030-2016 standard for three representative modules which were named 4A4A4A, 4A4A and 2A2A2A, this nomenclature represents the quantity of modules according to the building´s levels. It was identified that between the three modules, the one that has major distortions in the longitudinal direction was the 2A2A2A module (longitudinal direction was more critical than transversal direction for the analysis). When using a structural system of reinforced concrete walls in the transversal direction, it was concluded that the columns used in the longitudinal direction decrease in 0.10m with respect to the columns of the system of confined masonry in the transverse direction. In order to perform an economic evaluation, two representative modules were designed and those were called AC.4A4A4A.Z4.S2 and MC.4A4A4A.Z4.S2. In the two representative modules, in the transversal direction a confined masonry structural system and a reinforced concrete wall system were used respectively. After the design of the modules was finished, the quantification of the materials of each the main task that suffer variations due to changes of section and amount of reinforcement was done to analyze economic impacts. Finally, when the quantification the materials was finished, the unit prices analysis was carried out for each of the tasks. With this analysis, it was identified that the most expensive module was the MC.4A4A4A.Z4.S2 module. The difference between these two budgets is 0.40% of the lower
