The world faces a progressive depletion of natural resources, based mainly on non-renewable fuels; including natural gas. At the same time that demand for energy it has increased considerably, thanks to the developing countries. Based on this context Peru is no stranger to these changes. Reason why the efficient use of natural gas in the power generation process is the main focus for this thesis. This paper studies the feasibility of implementing a project to improve the use of natural gas combined cycle power plant of 850 MW. And three for one configuration. This will be achieved by optimizing the use of natural gas in the heating step of natural gas. Here you propose to use the flue gases from the smokestacks of gas turbines, to heat the natural gas, before entering the first stage gas regulation, thus preventing the temperature drop of this and thereby gas condensation (dew point). Currently this heating is achieved taking advantage of the calorific value of the flue gases, which are the product of combustion gas from a derivation of the supply line to the gas heater. The new design of this stage of the process, which will save large amounts of gas in heating. Since no gas is burned for this purpose, but it will maximize the temperature of the combustion gases emerging from the gas turbines, thus reducing costs in gas consumption and thus increasing energy efficiency ratios plant.. Finally, the economic analysis of the project will be carried out together with the economic evaluation, to demonstrate the savings and the viability of the proposed project. As well as a sensitivity analysis
