When the development of industrial robotic arms began, the DC motor was started as an actuator in the joints, but the disadvantage is that they are mechanically larger (in addition to requiring more and more expensive maintenance) and affect the dynamics since is mounted on the mobile joints. On the other hand are three-phase induction motors, squirrel cage type, very robust because of their simple mechanics and smaller size; But require more complex speed and position controllers that have only been possible using powerful processors known as digital signal processors (DSPs). To solve the problem of the need for a more robust motor position control system, the present project aims to design a Vector Control System of Axis Position of the Three Phase Induction Motor, through the Magnetic Field Orientation and Observation of the Flow” The control system is based on the principle of Direct Vector Control, which consists of controlling the induction motor as if it were a DC motor, and is simulated in Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 software, using the programming language C#. The program requires as input data the position of the rotor shaft and the stator currents. In turn, a flow observer is implemented, with which it is possible to obtain the Direct Vector Control of the induction motor, in order to follow a determined position profile. The results obtained from the simulation of the engine dynamics and the behavior of the position control scheme for different conditions show adequate control of the position profile. In addition, since the flow control of the rotor is independent of the variation of the rotor constant (α), the system becomes more robust in terms of sensitivity and stability, so that it is sufficient to position the rotor shaft where if desired (reference).
