The aim of this research was to determine the effective and environmental parameters of a Diesel engine, using three blends of Diesel and. biodiesel fuel The experiment was made in a testing block of internal combustion, using a Diesel Petter engine and preparing pure Diesel fuel with biodiesel obtained from reused cooking oil in the following percentages: 10%. 20% and 30%. This was done in order to determine the effective engine parameters and most importantly the specific power, the effective moment, the specific fuel consumption of the Diesel engine and the opacity of the Diesel engine exhaust gases. The present work al so includes a bibliography with authors that had already mentioned the use of biodiesel in researches and investigations about Diesel engine internal combustion. It is al so mentíoned the relatíonshíp between the biodiesel calorific power, the cínematíc víscosíty and the cetane index with the effective power, the specific consumption and the opacity respectively. In addítíon to this, the results of the process of the speed and charge engíne characteristics obtained and calculated after several tests made with the Petter Diesel engine are presented and the influence of the 810, 820 and 830 Diesel biodiesel blends on the effective and environmental parameters is considered. In conclusion the relevance of usíng bíodiesel obtaíned from the reused cooking oil and the use of fuel blends ís suggested as an alternatíve for Díesel engines, whích would replace partíally or totally the commercial fuel whích is used today and avoid contaminating the environment ant protect population's health in the cítíes and rural areas.
