Actually, the school corporation is experiencing a situation of competition of the brand as new competitors enter the market. This has caused the education sector has to change the decisions, in order to remain leading in th.is sector. According to our research, some decisions that are taken do not take into account the opinions and judgments of the people who are directly affected by the agreements. In this thesis, it develops a DSS prototype using the AHP in order to select suppliers, under the approach of the “Multicriteria Decision Theory“. It presents a general hierarchy for the decision-making process where the application focuses on the selection of the suppliers in order to construct classrooms and the other in the academic principal selection in one of the locations that the corporation possess. The consequences of the decision are analyzed, in both cases, by using a model that takes into account the opinions and concerns of people who are involved. To apply this model first must we must first identify potential experts that will become part of a “decision making team“ for each case. Once the team is set up, they must create a diagnosis that will list the materials needed for the project, in order to find suppliers. Once the suppliers are found and/or identified, the database will be updated and it will set the criteria in which the decision was taken. We identify the potential suppliers and the candidates for the Academic Principal position then the data base is updated and we establish the decision-making criteria for every case. With this information, the hierarchical structure is developed based on the mathematical model AHP then paired comparisons are made; for example, to achieve the main goal “construction of classrooms“, the following comparisons are evaluated: Criteria of Cost vs. Criteria of Companies Situation Criteria of Cost vs. Criteria of Product Quality Criteria of Cost vs. Criteria of Service Quality Criteria of Cost vs. Criteria of After-Sales Approach To determine the importance of these criteria's, the scale proposed by Saaty will be used (1 to 9). Following Saaty's procedure, once the comparisons between the criteria's are done, it is necessary to go down a level. In our case we now try to compare the (alternative) suppliers, taking into account the nine criteria's previously established. The performed comparisons will allow us to prioritize the suppliers, first in respect to the immediate criteria and then the general objective (Goal). Once the hierarchical structure is finished and all the paired comparison matrices. We proceed to model the event by using the Expert Choice software 11, this will facilitate the synthesis and sensitivity analysis. The obtained results of the DSS prototype, will need the compromise of the executive director and the decision. team, due to the fact that decision making should be done as a team and this proposed system is here just to ease the “decision making“ process, not make it on its own.
