In the present investigation, an evaluation and analysis of the technical and economic impact of a boiler, that used R-500 for conversion to natural gas in an industrial plant is carried out finding that order to achieve such conversion to a technical study and a study should be carried out before hand economic, to learn about the benefits of natural gas and the conversion of a boiler on fuel R-500. It that lack of statistical records on technical information was found necessary and important to facilitate conversion Converting to R-500 Natural Gas was performed taking into account two important aspects: the first was the technical evaluation which allowed knowing the situational state of the boiler with R-500 was found and provided information to determine if the boiler was suitable for conversion, this because the boilers are generally designed for a specific type of fuel. The research methodology developed is field of non-experimental which begins collecting the information, only subject to the boiler as operating, for that measuring instruments which provide information to be analyzed quantitatively used and on a scientific basis engineering results calorific data is analyzed, waste heat exhaust gases by incomplete combustion and heat loss from various other causes. The results were compared with standard values, which are within expected ranges. The second important aspect of this research is the economic analysis, which has been performed by projecting oil consumption for industrial R-500 and through economic analysis graph of the annual consumption compared with R- 500 and Natural Gas is performed, obtaining a reduction in the cost of fuel. Like wise with the economic evaluation has allowed us to know the costs and expenses incurred in performing use in a conversion and thus generate useful for decision making by the directors of the company financial information. In such a stage, the present investigation is necessary and useful because it allows the conversion viable boiler R-500 Natural Gas with less technical, economic impact for the industrial plant and a large environmental benefit.
