This study covers an area of alluvial prospecting for gold and platinum on the edge of the territory between the Ucayali region of Peru (Peru), Acre (state of Brazil) includes altitudes from 150 m to 200 m approximately in the area belonging District: Callahan, County: Coronel Portillo, Ucayali region whose main drainage system along the river Abujao. The prospect area alluvial gold - platinum is located in an essentially flat surface landform with small hills that define the watersheds of the creeks and the river Abujao and Shesha. A feature of the geology of the reservoir in this area is the thickness variation of the overload (over burden) from less than 2.00 m to 6.00 m maximum. The geological setting is determined from the Mesozoic rocks and sediments of Tertiary (Paleogene, Neogene) dominated the Pleistocene. With regard to the origin of platinum assembly has mineralogical evidence for the inclusion of platinum particles of zircon, has not found its association with a rock but the basic considerations of the origin of these deposits must assume that would be linked to the occurrence of older mafic intrusives that have been heavily involved in this tropical environment generating as kaolin clay, forming the matrix of the platinum-gold gravels whose platinum-gold ratio is 4 to 1. Gold and platinum in the surveyed area occurs in free form flattened and subrounded particles free can be easily observed by their size The recovery of gold and platinum by gravimetric methods is relatively easy and could apply the method of obtaining the green gold without the use of mercury From the point of view of exploration and recommended methods to estimate the potential of the area would be defined and a second stage to develop an environmentally friendly mining using the method of gradual closure and replacement of plants that would be most affected if it progresses and progresses to a stage of alluvial mining operation. The estimated area using images and geology of the area is more than 10,000 hectares.
