Magnetic metallic amorphous alloys of the kind Fe73,5 Si13,5 Bg Cui Nbi X2, (X = V, Mo, Nb, Zr) obtained by means of rapidly quenching controlled from the melt, were annealing at temperatures between 735K and 827K in order to obtain a nanocrystalline structure. The evolution from the initial amorphous state to the nanocrystallizade state was studied by using Mossbauer spectroscopy and measurement by macroscopic magnetization, both of them in situ. The main objective of this research, for us was to determine the effects of the partial substitution of Nb by other atoms of refractory metals (V, Mo, Zr) over its excellent soft magnetic properties. The main results obtain we can summarize as follows: 1. In the 3 cases we find an increment in the saturation of the macroscopic magnetization of the initial amorphous material but in the case X = Zr not only this increment is greater, but the magnetization to lower temperatures is of different kind that in the other cases. 2. The Curie temperature (Tc) of the initial amorphous phase change lightly in all the studies cases of substitution. This result hint: a) The presence of a greater concentration of magnetic moments and/or average magnetic moments greater in the case X = Zr b) b) that the interactions between such magnetic moments practically no change by the substitution. 3. We verify that in the case X - Mo only, obtain a considerable lower crystallization temperature. 4. The saturation macroscopic magnetization of the nanosructure produced not only increased strongly take the amorphous initial as the reference but depend of the substitution, such increment is the greatest in the case X = Zr. 5. The macroscopic magnetization of the nanostructure as a function of the temperature in case X = Zr is singular: c) To lower temperatures shows the same behaviour as the amorphous as cast (no reach the saturation at room temperature - 293 K - and increase near linearly). d) exhibits two magnetic components which shows a desacouple when the residual amorphous phase reaches the paramagnetic phase. 6. Microscopic measurements in Mossbauer spectroscopy shows: a) The composition and structure of the nanocrystals produced no change with the substitution of the Nb by another atoms of refractory materials. The concentration of the nanocrystals is around of 65% of the sample, independently of X. b) The nanocrystals of a-Fe(Si) are immersed in a residual amorphous matrix, magnetic too whose concentration is around 35% of the sample. In spite of redistribution of the Fe atoms, the Tc of this phase ( ~ 650 °C) obtained changing the average field hyperfine with the temperature is practically the same Tc of the initial amorphous and is independly of X. c) The Tc of the nanostructure produced (residual amorphous phase + nanicrystal) increased approximately in 200K and we can say that it is independent of the substitution X. d) As a result of the crystallization we appreciate a little change of the texture in the material. In fact the magnetic moments tend to separate even more from the plane of the sample in relation to the initial amorphous, particularly en the case X = Mo This change could be entailed to an increment in the magnetic softly of the nanostructure, 7. Take care that due to the controlled thermal treatment employed the crystalline is practically independent of X the transition effects ferro- paramagnetic of the residual amorphous phase in the couple between the magnetic moments of the nanocrystals only in the case X = Zr, probably caused by the smaller average size of the grain. In fact exists experimental evidence of the inhibitor rol of the refractory atoms in the increasing of the crystals. The result here presented and the known hitherto let to show a scheme in order to explain more clearly the result of the nanocrystallization and the excellent soft magnetic properties of this new magnetic material.
