The principie of the mechanistic design arose in last decade and at the present time it is the main tool for all designer of Pavements, so much so the AASHTO is in studies to give a turn implementing the mechanistic design supplemented with its acquaintance it already proves experimental. The asphaltic pavements almost constitute 100% of the paved highways of the country; in this sense it arises the necessity of an appropriate design, conservation and maintenance of the same ones. One of the variables that has not been considered in the different studies of rehabilitation of the roads, comes to be the pressure of having inflated of the tires whose carried out inventory reveals us the discharges pressures that they have the tires of the specially heavy vehicles. On the other hand the contact area or contact pressure that it is function of the pressure of having inflated and the load, is a supreme importance in all method of mechanistic design of there the consideration to detennine in the present thesis the relationship that exists among them, for the types of tires more used in the Peruvian selfdriven park. After a characterization of the main structures of the pavements used in the country, and supported in the theory of the elasticity it was determined the main efforts and additional deformations that originate alone for effect of the pressure of having inflated. For it has been necessary the use of the program ELSYM 5 developed by the University of California. This allowed to calculate the number of repetitions for a standard axis, with a pressure of had inflated considered in the AASHTO's tests, and another standard axis varying the pressure according to the range found in the inventory (75 psi to 130 psi). Based on the above-mentioned the study proposes factors of correction of the equivalent axes to take into account in the design of the structure of pavement. It has been simulated the behavior of an asphaltic pavement on the other hand along their useful life with the consideration of the factors before mentioned and without them. Finally the investigation outlines the possible solutions that they allow to counteract or the destructive effect that has the discharges pressures of having inflated to vanish.
