The present study of Geochemistry prospecting is to locate the proyection of the copper mantle that occurs in the mining Prospect of Joripata located at 350 Km. SE from Oroya City and at 15 Km. NW from Mining Unity of Cobriza Centromin Perú S.A. The geological preliminar data were obtained using photointerpretation . The next step was to make the Regional Geological Map (Plan NQ2 annex) in which it was located at small outcrop of a copper mantle. This outcrop is 60 meters long and 16 meters wide . The 95% of the area of possible continuity of the mantle, is covered far recent residual soils, being difficult this exploration . But there are some geological guides such as small covering of iron isolated and fragments of mineral of copper at very remote zones of the small outcrop. It make us to think in the continuity of the mantle at a long estimate of 1000 meters. Since these guides are not sufficient to discover the proyection or design of the mantle of the copper, it is necessary to use an indirect method in his exploration. In this case the most appropiate method is the execution of the geochemistry prospecting of soils. which correctly applied, produce a certainty guaranteed of 80% to 90%. Thus we discovered the proyection aforementioned . The study of Geochemistry Prospecting was started sampling soils (130 samples) that were analyzed for copper and silver , using Atomic Absorption, to obtain concentrations in p.p.m. The Geochemistry data obtained were taken to a statistical treatment, it were used to elaborate maps of the geochemistry anomalies far the copper and the silver .
