For the rock fragmentation the use of explosives is very necessary; which can generate several environmental impacts such as: Vibrations, air pressure, noise rock fragment projections, etc. Some of the environmental impacts mentioned before will cause damage in the structure located near to the mining operations; and also some fatal accidents, etc. The present thesis described and explains the latest developments for an efficient modeling, monitoring and control of the damage produced by the vibrations induced by the blasting unit mining operation. For this particular case the Devine mathematical model; is used for far field applications. It is emphasized that good monitoring results were obtained using the Devine model; these results are shown in the tables and figures respectively. Two cases-studies were designed modeled and monitored to obtain the results with a good grade of reliability. The results obtained from the cases-study were compared with several damage criteria postulated by several investigators; and these were within the ranges which no cause any damage to the persons and the structures located near the mining operations.
