The investigation and development in technotogy of wind systems of small power (lowef than 1 kW) is limited in the country and in the international market. however it seems as a strategic solution in energetic social and economic fields for rural áreas which have wind resource. The relevant: experiences of the signes made by the Instituto de Investigación Tecnológica Industrial y de Normas Técnicas (ÍTINTEC), and since 1998 by Intermediate Technology Development Group (ITDG) who is working in the promotion and development of wind systems to satisfy the domestic charges and small demands in rural áreas show it. This master's thesis is a hard-working investigation of which metothodology integrate departments. laboratory and field Works. It includes design, construction and proofs of a wind system of 500 W. This means the Calculation. design and manufacture of the generator of permanents magnet, wind rotor and direction system. in additton of the trials and proof of electric generation in the laboratory and the evaluation in field of the wind system to determine the performance and reliability. The achievements in the investigation of the wind system unit prototype of 500 W, lead to the reproduction and application through the installation and monitoring of intereconnected units, micro grids to cover the demands of small neighborhoods and communal services in the Peruvian rural sector, pilot experience held in Cajamarca region. The importance of this work is the contribution in improving the livelihoods of rural populations with limited social-economic conditions using the clean and renewable local resource that exists in the zone Key words Wind system. permanent magnet, rural sector, social-economic, clean energy, micro gris.
