The purpose of this research was to determine the prevalence and types of mineralization of the stylohyoid process in panoramic radiographs of patients from the Stomatology Clinic of the Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt. The type of research was descriptive, transversal and prospective. The sample consisted of 380 panoramic radiographs. The prevalence of mineralization of the stylohyoid process was 40.3% in the panoramic radiographs. The most frequent type of mineralization of the right stylohyoid process was the elongated type, followed by the segmented type. The most frequent type of mineralization of the left stylohyoid process is the segmented type, followed by the elongated type. In conclusion, the prevalence of mineralization of the stylohyoid process in panoramic radiographs of patients of the Stomatology Clinic of the Universidad Privada de Huancayo Franklin Roosevelt was 40.3%, with the most frequent type of mineralization on the right side being the elongated type and on the left side the segmented type.
