The objective was to determine the relationship between self-medication for the management of COVID-19 and the socioeconomic and cultural level of the inhabitants of the city of Juliaca. The method applied was quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, descriptive. The sample consisted of 384 people. As a result of the type of self-medication, it was found that 33.59% self-medicate with traditional plants; in the case of self-medication with drugs, paracetamol was found with 35.94% of frequent use. Regarding the social level, 47.40% have their home in a marginal urban area; also 43.75% have independent work activity. Regarding economic level, 55.21% have an average monthly income of 1,000 to 1,500 soles. Regarding cultural level, it was found that 57.29% are fluent in Spanish. Finally, it was concluded that there is a relationship between the types of self-medication and the socioeconomic and cultural level.
