This research aims to demonstrate the determinants of self-medication in the context of this pandemic. Self-medication is the self-administration of non-prescribed medications by a physician which can lead to many health problems. General Objective To identify the factors that condition self-medication in times of pandemic in the district of Santa Anita - Lima 2020. Materials and Methods: The study has a descriptive study design. The population is made up of the users of pharmacies in the Santa Anita district. The study population was those users over 18 years of age who self-medicated, users volunteers who wish to collaborate with the study. The descriptive study was carried out with a sample of 322 users of the apothecaries in the Santa district. As a result, the self-medication factors that conditioned the self-medication in times of pandemic of the residents of Santa Anita department of Lima, was high in the families surveyed and constitutes a serious public health problem, by the perception of exaggeration and generation of fear in the population that were motivated to a greater extent by family, friends, television and social networks, as well as the age group of 30-45 years was the largest population in the sample that was interviewed and represents 48%, followed by the 18-29 year old age group which represents 31% and finally the 46-60 year old age group which represents 21% of the sampled population. Coinciding that is the population less vulnerable to the virus of COVID 19
