The objective was to determine the photoprotective and antioxidant effect spectrophotometrically of a cream based on the ethanolic extract of Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) and Passiflora edulis (passion fruit). The photoprotective effect was determined spectrophotometrically and the antioxidant effect was determined by the DPPH method. Results: The SPF of the cream of Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) and Passiflora edulis (passion fruit) at 10% was 5.063 and at 20% was 6.706, and the cream Bahía Face SPF 90 was 25.995; with respect to the antioxidant effect for the cream at 10% was 21.17 and at 20% was 22.27; and the cream Bahía Face SPF 90 presented 8.48. It is concluded that the cream based on ethanolic extract of Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) and Passiflora edulis (passion fruit) has a photoprotective and antioxidant effect
