The objective of the study was to determine the relationship between intestinal parasitosis and malnutrition in children under 5 years of age. It is a basic research, correlational level, not experimental. The sample consisted of 87 children who met the inclusion criteria and who are treated at the Liberty Health Center. Within the method, for the intestinal parasitosis variable the observation technique was used, through a Coproparasitological examination; and for the variable nutritional status, the documentary technique was used. Among the main results, it was found that the prevalence of intestinal parasitosis through coprological examinations was 51.7%. 27.6% of the children evaluated have a short stature, according to the T / E indicator; In addition, according to the P / T weight indicator, 8.0% present acute malnutrition and 2.3% severe malnutrition; according to the P / E indicator, in children under 5 years of age, 13.8% are malnourished and 5.7% are overweight. It is concluded that there is a relationship between intestinal parasitosis and malnutrition in children, in the T / E and P / E indicators, no relationship was found between parasitosis and the P / T indicator.
