Studies have demonstrated the usefulness of nutritional supplementation in older adults, with positive effects and reduced health complications without reducing daily food consumption. The mean age of the participants was 63 years, with a range of 60 to 79 years. 70.2% of the older adults stated that they did not suffer from any type of chronic disease, signs of cognitive impairment or any physical damage. 88.3% indicated that they live in a family. 97.9% considered it beneficial to their health, physical and emotional. 62.8% if they stopped using nutritional supplements it would lead to malnutrition. 28% indicated that they consume nutritional supplements without a medical prescription.
