A Drug Related Problem (PRM) is any health event present in a patient, produced or related to his drug treatment therapeutic and that interferes with the expected health outcomes. Therefore, the OBJECTIVE of this work was to apply the pharmacotherapeutic follow-up to Hospitalized patients receiving Ceftriaxone in the Teaching Hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión Surgical Clinic. Using as METHODOLOGY the descriptive, prospective and transversal study, of basic level; made the evaluation in a sample of 218 hospitalized patients who received Ceftriaxone, in the hospital Lecturer Clinical Surgical Daniel Alcides Carrión; obtaining as a RESULT that the Pharmacotherapeutic Follow-up applied to hospitalized patients who received Ceftriaxone in the Hospital Clinical Surgical Professor Daniel Alcides Carrión, allowed to detect 114 PRMs (52%), being 52% for PRM1, 27% for PRM2 (Of necessity), 3% for PRM3, 11% for PRM4 (Effectiveness) and 8% for PRM5 (De security).
