Of the more than 3.5 billion prescriptions received annually in community pharmacies, it is estimated that prescription error rates range from 0.23% to 11%. Our objective was to evaluate the prevalence of prescription errors in COVID-19 patients seen from February 2021 to January 2022 at the Chilca Health Center. Likewise, the research was of basic type, descriptive level and non-experimental design, cross-sectional, probabilistic sampling. The population of our study consisted of 1650 medical prescriptions, while our study sample consisted of 322 medical prescriptions, which were selected by systematic probability sampling, using the documentary analysis technique and the checklist as an instrument, which was validated through expert judgment. As a result, the prevalence of prescription errors in COVID-19 patients attended from February 2021 to January 2022 at the Chilca Health Center was 92%.
