Evaluación del Funcionamiento del sistema de distribución de medicamentos en dosis unitaria en el Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil "El Carmen"

Abstract

El sistema de distribución de medicamentos en dosis unitaria es un método de dispensación y control de la medicación en servicios de salud organizados y coordinados por la farmacia. Por ello el OBJETIVO de este trabajo fue evaluar los procedimientos para el funcionamiento del SDMDU en el Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil “El Carmen”.Empleándose como METODOLOGÍA el estudio descriptivo, prospectivo y transversal, de nivel básico; realizada la evaluación en una MUESTRA de 496 prescripciones de los servicios de hospitalización; obteniéndose como RESULTADOS el tiempo promedio empleado corresponde a un promedio de 3 a 5 minutos para los servicios de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos (UCI), Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de Neonatología (UCIN) y Unidad de Cuidados Especiales Obstétricos (UCEO).En CONCLUSIÓN los procedimientos para el funcionamiento del SDMDU en el Hospital Regional Docente Materno Infantil “El Carmen”, se da en forma deficiente en cuanto al acompañamiento en la visita médica, preparación y traslado de los medicamentos por parte del químico farmacéutico.

The system of distribution of medicines in unit dose is a method of dispensing and control of medication in health services organized and coordinated by the pharmacy. Therefore, the OBJECTIVE of this work was to evaluate the procedures for the operation of the SDMDU in the Regional Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital "El Carmen". Using as METHODOLOGY the descriptive, prospective and transversal study, of basic level; carried out the evaluation in a SAMPLE of 496 prescriptions of the hospitalization services; obtaining as RESULTS the average time spent corresponds to an average of 3 to 5 minutes for the services of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and the Special Obstetric Care Unit (UCEO). In CONCLUSION the Procedures for the operation of the SDMDU in the Regional Maternal and Child Teaching Hospital "El Carmen", is given in a deficient manner in terms of the accompaniment in the medical visit, preparation and transfer of medications by the pharmaceutical chemist.
