Good dispensing practices are the set of standards established to ensure the proper use of medications. The rational use of the drug is the condition by which patients receive the appropriate medication, according to their clinical needs, in the corresponding doses and, for a suitable period of time and at the lowest possible cost. The objective of the present investigation is to determine if the good practices of dispensing in the Pharmacy of the Clinical Teaching Hospital "Daniel Alcides Carrión" - Huancayo allow the rational use of the drug; Also, the descriptive method was applied, whose type of investigation is basic. As a result of the research carried out on patients or persons who go to the aforementioned Hospital Pharmacy and who are attended by a Pharmaceutical Chemist, regarding the good practices of dispensing and rational use of the drug, the following is concluded: 98 % Believe that the receipt and validation of the prescription will decide the dispensing of the drug; 91% believe that the analysis and interpretation of the prescription will allow a good dispensation; Similarly, 89% believe that the preparation and selection of products delivered represents a major aspect of the good dispensing process; Likewise, 88% responded that the drugs delivered were not registered for their correct existence verification; And 70% stated that they did not receive any information about the rational use of the drug when collecting pharmaceuticals.
