The objective of the research was to determine the factors and adverse reactions associated with self-medication in women of childbearing age with urinary tract infections at the Pichanaki Hospital - 2021. The methodology is basic level, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional design, in a sample of 209 women of childbearing age, using a non-experimental observation technique and a data collection form was used as an instrument. The results showed that the factors associated with self-medication were age in women between 26-30 years in 26.8%, type A adverse reactions such as irritation of the gastrointestinal tract 27.3% and type B 89.0%, the most used antibiotics in urinary tract infections were Ciprofloxacin 23% Ceftriaxone with 19.6%. In conclusion, the consumption of antibiotics in self-medication for pain and burning when urinating is 34.4% and adverse reactions of type A, irritation of the gastrointestinal tract with 27.3% and type B 89.0% and the most used antibiotics Ciprofloxacin with 23% and Ceftriaxone with 19.6%.
