The pharmaceutical profession is in the process of change, from an orientation exclusively directed to the drug, a wider activity, and patient-oriented. hence the aim of this study was to analyze the extent of drug-related problems in adult patients with gastritis, clinical surgical teaching hospital Daniel Alcides Carrión city of Huancayo. being used as a methodology descriptive and systematic study of collection of clinical cases for problems related to drug during the months of August to December, in a non-probability sample of convenience of 213 patients who came to receive outpatient care for gastroenterology and results the highest incidence was prm 4 (44%), followed by prm 1 (32%), where the most used drugs were the group of proton-pump inhibitor (48%), followed by antibiotics (29%), whose dimension of effectiveness (44%) and necessity (37%) were the most caused. concluding that the extent of PRMS were found in 348 patients.
