The present thesis project focuses on determining the socioeconomic level and the level of knowledge about oral hygiene in users attending the dentistry service of the San Francisco Support Hospital, district of Ayna, province of La Mar, department of Ayacucho; 2019. Objective: The objective of this research is to determine the degree of knowledge about oral hygiene according to the socioeconomic level of users in the dentistry service of the "San Francisco" Support Hospital, district of Ayna, province of La Mar, department of Ayacucho; 2019. Methods and Materials: The present investigation was a descriptive, cross-sectional study. Thirty-two patients who attended the dentistry area of the san francisco support hospital were surveyed. Results: The level of knowledge of Oral Hygiene of the population reviewed, 78.1% do not know; 12.5% know little and 9.4% do know about oral hygiene; and of the total population observed, 3.13% belong to NSE A - High; 9.36% to NSE B - Medium; 34.38% to NSE C - Lower Upper Low and 53.13% are in NSE D - Lower Low
