Many countries have proposed health as a right guaranteed by their constitutions, however, this right can not be fully met if the population does not have access to the medicines or if they are not quality, safe, effective; even more so when counterfeit medicines from misleading, spurious, imitative or substandard quality labeling, makes reference to a major health problem; for that reason the objective of this investigation was to evaluate the marketing of counterfeit medicines in pharmacies and Boticas of the district of Huancayo, fulfilling as a methodology a basic level research of a descriptive, prospective and transversal type in a sample of 25 pharmacies and 117 pharmacies, with the result that 39% of the pharmaceutical offices market counterfeit medicines and concluding that more than a quarter sell medicines falsified and that the most falsified medicines are Panadol Antiviral, the Dolocordralam Extraforte and Bactrim Forte.
