Polifarmacia en el paciente adulto mayor con hipertensión arterial atendidos en el Hospital Simón Bolivar, Cajamarca 2023.

Abstract

La presente investigación tiene por objetivo determinar si la polifarmacia influye en la adherencia de los pacientes adultos mayores con Hipertensión Arterial del Hospital Simón Bolívar, Cajamarca 2023. El método de estudio es descriptivo, no experimental. La muestra está conformada 100 pacientes adultos mayores con HTA. Los resultados muestran que el 70,9% si presentan nivel de adherencia al tratamiento farmacológico. el 62,0% presentan polifarmacia. Referente a la relación de polifarmacia y el nivel de adherencia al tratamiento en los pacientes adultos mayores se concluye que los pacientes con polifarmacia y no polifarmacia ambos presentan adherencia al tratamiento antihipertensivo. En conclusión, no existe correlación estadística entre la polifarmacia y la adherencia al tratamiento antihipertensivo.

The aim of this study was to determine whether polypharmacy influences adherence in older adult patients with arterial hypertension at the Hospital Simón Bolívar, Cajamarca 2023. The study method is descriptive, non-experimental. The sample consisted of 100 older adult patients with hypertension. The results show that 70.9% do have adherence to pharmacological treatment. 62.0% have polypharmacy. Regarding the relationship between polypharmacy and the level of adherence to treatment in older adult patients, it was concluded that patients with polypharmacy and those without polypharmacy both showed adherence to antihypertensive treatment. In conclusion, there is no statistical correlation between polypharmacy and adherence to antihypertensive treatment.
