Efecto antifúngico del aceite esencial de Citrus reticulata (mandarina) y Citrus sinensis (naranja tangelo) sobre Candida albicans in vitro

Abstract

El objetivo del presente estudio fue determinar el efecto antifúngico del aceite esencial de Citrus reticulata (Mandarina) y Citrus sinensis (Naranja Tangelo) sobre Candida albicans in vitro. Siendo la metodología de estudio investigación inductiva, experimental de corte transversal y prospectiva, el método usado fue arrastre con vapor, la determinación del efecto antifúngico fue por el método de Kirby Bauer. En los resultados los halos de inhibición de el aceite de Citrus reticulata al 100% (13.57% + 0.39), al 50% (7.81mm + 0.31), y para Citrus sinensis al 100% (14.5mm + 0.34) y al 50% (8.39mm + 0.31). Se concluye que los aceites esenciales de Citrus reticulata y Citrus sinensis presentan efecto antifúngico sobre Candida albicans

The objective of this study was to determine the antifungal effect of the essential oil of Citrus reticulata (Mandarin) and Citrus sinensis (Tangelo orange) on Candida albicans in vitro. The methodology of the study was inductive, experimental, cross-sectional and prospective research, the method used was steam dragging, and the determination of the antifungal effect was by the Kirby Bauer method. In the results, the inhibition halos of Citrus reticulata oil at 100% (13.57% + 0.39), at 50% (7.81mm + 0.31), and for Citrus sinensis at 100% (14.5mm + 0.34) and at 50% (8.39mm + 0.31).
