Type of basic research, descriptive, quantitative approach, non-experimental cross-sectional design. Population 30 nursing interns. Non-probabilistic census sample design. Survey technique, Likert-type questionnaire instrument. Results: at a global level, of a total of 30 nursing interns, 53.30% perceive that the nurse provides humanized care to the hospitalized patient almost always, 30% always, 16.70% perceive it as sometimes. In the dimension Values and spirituality 56.70% of interns perceive that the nurse almost always applies humanized care, 23.30% always and 20.0% sometimes. In the dimension Interpersonal Interaction, 66.70% of interns perceive that nurses provide humanized care almost always, 20.0% always and 13.30% sometimes. Likewise, in the dimensions of human needs and scientific humanized care, 60.0% of interns perceive that nurses apply humanized care to the hospitalized patient almost always, followed by 23.3% sometimes and 16.70% always, respectively. In conclusion, the nursing interns perceived that nurses apply humanized care to the hospitalized patient only almost always, followed by always and a minimum percentage sometimes, finding no reference as never.
