The research is of basic type; Methodology, descriptive, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population was 394 older adults and the sample was 195 adults. Results: it is possible to appreciate the ages of the respondent, 28.2 % (55) belong to those older than 85 years old. On the other hand, the degree of education is secondary and has SIS insurance, the economic income of 841 - 1000 soles, the marital status cohabitant. The reasons for taking PPIs were nausea/vomiting, and the respondents purchased their medicines in a pharmacy/Botica. As for adverse reactions in type A were hot flashes, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness. Type B reactions were autoimmune syndromes, skin rashes, vasculitis and inflammatory organic lesions. Omeprazole 49.2% was found to be the most consumed antiulcer drug.
