A Drug Related Problem (PRM) is any health event present in a patient that interferes with the expected health outcomes. Therefore the OBJECTIVE of this work was to determine the problems related to medication in patients hospitalized with HIV in the Regional Hospital Teaching Clinical Surgical Daniel Alcides Carrión using as a METHODOLOGY the descriptive, retrospective and cross-sectional study, of basic level; obtaining as RESULTS a 72% of patients with PRM1, 28% of PRM2 (Need), 50% of PRM 3 and PRM4 (Effectiveness) and 57% of PRM 5 and 43% of PRM6 (Safety); being the causes that caused it mainly in 48% for forgetting the administration by the nursing staff and 62% for presenting adverse drug reactions.
