OBJECTIVE: To determine how pharmaceutical counseling influences the improvement of health-related quality of life for patients with osteoarthritis attending the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Prialé Prialé Prialé Huancayo -2020. METHODOLOGY: Quasi-experimental research, applied type, explanatory level, prospective and longitudinal, the sample consisted of 53 patients with osteoarthritis to whom the pharmaceutical counseling was done, the survey was used as a technique and the questionnaire and data collection form as an instrument. RESULTS: 71.7% were female, 66.0% are in the range of 56-69 years. 52.8% were married and 58.5% were married. They have high school education, middle socioeconomic status with 54.7%. The most frequent osteoarthritis is osteoarthritis of the knee with 52.8% in men and 64.2% in women. Obesity grade I was found in 26.7% of men and 50.0% of women. The most prescribed analgesics were corticosteroids with 71.5%. A total of 52.8% of men and 49.1% of women had AHT. Perception of improvement of quality of life in patients improved to 73.6%. CONCLUSIONS It was determined that there is a relationship between pharmaceutical counseling and the level of satisfaction in patients with osteoarthritis attending the Hospital Nacional Ramiro Prialé Prialé Huancayo-2020, whose results were according to Pearson's chi-square test (0.004), with a value of less than 0.05.
