The objective of this research is to evaluate the physicochemical quality of drinking water for human consumption in rural Huancayo. The research methodology was quantitative, descriptive and retrospective, taking a sample for 9 months in the villages of Huamanmarca, Huayucachi, Miraflores and Colpa, obtaining as a result an average concentration of residual chlorine in water within the permitted limits, yielding a value of 1.68 mg/l in the reservoir, in the intermediate part of the network 0.78 mg/l and in the last house 0. 56 mg/l, with an average conductivity that meets the permitted parameters with a minimum of 310.4 µS/cm and a maximum of 434.52 µS/cm, the PH of the drinking water is optimal, average temperature according to the climatic variations of the villages, with minimum turbidity values of 0, 24 UNF in the town of Miraflores and maximum value in the town of Huamanmarca 1.11 UNF, being within the permitted <5 UNF, in conclusion the physical and chemical analysis of drinking water for human consumption in the rural area of Huancayo is within the permissible limits according to DIGESA.
