To determine the clinical and epidemiological characteristics of preeclampsia in pregnant patients attended at Hospital III Es Salud Puno 2020. Material and Methods: The medical records of pregnant women with a diagnosis of preeclampsia were reviewed; the study was a simple descriptive, non-interventional, cross-sectional, retrospective design. The population consisted of 65 clinical histories of pregnant women attended for preeclampsia pictures during 2020, verifying that they met selection criteria; results are shown using descriptive statistics. Results: Among the sociodemographic characteristics of pregnant women with preeclamsia were age between 19 to 34 years, with 73.8%, Nulliparous with 63.1%, with 37 to more weeks of gestation, with no history of abortion 72.5%, as for the clinical characteristics of found 50, Among the premonitory symptoms of eclampsia, 58.5% registered headaches, followed by 31.0% of pregnant women who did not register symptoms or alarm signs, 94.2% of pregnant women with preeclampsia registered abdominal delivery or cesarean section. Conclusion: Preeclampsia occurs frequently and the epidemiological and clinical characteristics may be preventable through adequate prenatal care and self-care practices of the pregnant woman.
