Objective: To explore beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine among parents with children under 5 years old in a human settlement. Material and method: The research was conducted using a qualitative approach along with a phenomenological design. Sampling was done through judgment. The semi-structured interview technique was applied during the fieldwork. It was developed an interview guide, which was validated by expert judges and consisting of 11 questions. Results: In the evaluation of the interviews conducted with parents, it is observed that the interviews relate to the main category regarding beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge, which consist of three subcategories: knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine, beliefs about the COVID-19 vaccine, and attitudes towards the COVID-19 vaccine. Conclusions: According to the three proposed categories regarding beliefs, attitudes, and knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine, it was found that the interviewed parents have limited knowledge about the COVID-19 vaccine; they express that religious beliefs do not interfere with their decision to vaccinate their children, and acknowledge having indecisive attitudes due to fear of vaccine side effects.
