Since March 2020 with the appearance of the pandemic, many families have confined themselves to their homes to work and study. However, the accompaniment of parents to their children in learning has generated an unprecedented dilemma. Given this, this study aimed to determine the relationship between the family climate and the school performance of fourth, fifth and sixth grade students of a public educational institution in the Center of Lima (Peru). A correlational design was used whose sample consisted of 120 participants from fourth, fifth and sixth grade, 49 of them were males (40.8%) and 71 females (59.2%) between 9 and 13 years old (Mage = 10.43 SD=.98); (Mage=5 SD=.82). The information has been collected through a questionnaire for family climate and school performance. The results showed that the family climate in all its dimensions is positively, moderately, and significantly related to school performance. It is concluded that parents play an important role in the academic performance of their children, giving greater relevance to their work as a role model and the assertive communication that has been established.
